Company Overview

: A little more information about Entec Studios

Entec Studios is a Digital Media Software development company which is using Computer Games Technology to develop a new and exciting venture called Avatari.me which delivers a real life online clothing shopping experience which will drive growth, increase sales and improve profitability for high street and online clothing and footwear retailers. It is a product for which prototype demonstration models have been developed and presented to a number of major retailers in the UK such as M&S, Bodens, John Lewis, NEXT, Republic and Monsoon and the unique, bespoke software for batch processing the garments has been completed, which in itself will be a product ready to sell to clothing manufacturers throughout the world. We have worked with the Head Office of M&S in London to develop the batch software process and the actual product. It is the only product which accurately combines the real size of the garment with the real size of the customer.

High Street and mainstream online retailers have two problems which have been difficult to resolve, the problem of size and fit and the resulting problem of returns and the associated high costs. With a UK online sales figure of £5.5 billion the amount of returns can be as high as £1.3 billion. A recent FT Graphic survey,2014, found that the following reasons were given for not shopping online.

72% Not sure item will fit, 39% Not sure item will be suitable, 22% The returns process is difficult.

It has also been documented in the Mintel Online Fashion Report 2014, that shoppers are looking for new experiences when they shop online and the Avatari.me product and services will allow shoppers to shop in real time with their friends as well as give an accurate indication of size and fit. It will also provide a service which will facilitate the storing of a personal online wardrobe with cross sales into other fashion accessories, shoes, cosmetics and hairstyles. The system itself can also be used by the retailers to analyse shopping trends and design store layouts. This was further confirmed through a user focus group survey which we carried out.
